Having been investing remotely since 2017, when Euan Craigie and his wife moved back to the UK last year, they decided to focus on growing their portfolio and cashflow. By buying cheaply with an aim to maximise value, Euan focuses on creating high quality student HMOs that can be refinanced to release some equity. In this article, he discusses one of his most recent deals that allowed him to pull out all of his initial investment. My property journey started back in 2016 when my wife and I bought our first house. We lived there for a while and decided to rent it out when we moved to Dubai in 2017 – our first foray into being landlords. In Dubai, I sold high-end villas and was doing quite well, but we decided to move back to the UK in 2021. We set up E&H Properties in 2019, as we had continued to buy property in the UK while we were living abroad and had slowly accrued a small portfolio of four or five properties. Since being back, we've concentrated our efforts on growing our portfolio and have succeeded in over doubling it in size.
